Enabling/Disabling Automatic Accounting File Rollover
The call accounting feature logs call activity to a file on the hard disk.
Chapter 18
describes how to manually enable call accounting, roll the active file over (close the
file and open a new one), copy old files to diskette, and delete old files.
Enabling Automatic Rollover
You can specify a maximum size for the call accounting file and enable automatic
rollover of the file. Keep in mind, however, that you must still manually copy backup
files to diskette(s), then delete them from the hard disk.
A rollover saves the current file to a backup file. Since these files
can be quite large, disk space can be quickly used up if the
backup files are not regularly copied to diskette and deleted
from the hard disk.
Automatic rollover is enabled by editing the file named .cshrc, using the UNIX
vi
text
editor.
Call accounting must be turned off before editing .cshrc.
At the
[NETLINK]

ll [Enter]

ll
