Configuring Trunk Port Records
To configure an N74/7500 port as a logical trunk, go to “
Configuring N74/7500 PDN
Ports”
on page 7-11. To configure any other trunk type, press
[A]
, then
[C]
from the
Ports Selection Menu (or
[A], [D], [A], [C]
from the Main Menu). When prompted,
enter:

Node ID
(of the node containing the port):
1–250
. (Default is the “local” node.)
●
LP ID
(of the LP containing the port):
0–7
. (Default is
0
.)
●
Port
:
0–7
for a physical port on an RLP,
0–3
for a port on an AST LP (N74/7500
only),
8–63
for a logical port. (If configuring an FRX8000 logical port, enter the
associated physical X.25 or frame relay port number when asked.)
●
Any other requested information, noting the values in Table 7-1. (Press
[Enter]
at a prompt to specify the default value.)
The display depends on whether you are configuring a trunk on a physical port with a
V.25bis modem connected (Figure 7-2), a physical port with no V.25bis modem
(
Figure 7-3
), or a logical port (
Figure 7-4
).
