LAN Card Statistics Displays
LAN Card statistics track traffic over the LAN interface. Press
[l]
at the Statistics
Menu and, when prompted, enter:

Node number
:
1–250.
●
LAN Card Number
:
0–1
.
The display will depend on whether the LAN card is Ethernet (
Figure 20-12
) or Token
Ring (
Figure 20-13
).
On either display:
Hardware Status
will be one of these:
Not Installed
Failed Startup Diagnostics
Failed due to Configuration Problem
Not Operational due to Hardware Fault
Operating Marginally due to Soft Faults
Fully Operational
MAC Status
can be either/both/neither of these:
Bound
(the MAC and protocol drivers are linked to enable
enable communication between them),
Open
(the OpenAdapter function, which activates the
adapter's network connection, is enabled).
Packet Filter
(set in commands from the protocol) specifies the types of
packets that can be received on this interface (more than one category can
be specified):
Directed and Multicast or Group and Functional
Broadcast
Promiscuous
(any packet on the LAN)
Any Source Packet
(any source routing packet on the LAN)
