When Changes Take Effect
When you add a new Channel Map record, the change is written to the database as
soon as you enter the final parameter value. When you modify an existing record, the
change is written to the database instantly.
To make the change effective at the LP, press
[F7]
while still in Maintenance opera-
tions on the record. This will temporarily disable the LP and write the change to the
software running in the node. (If this is not done, the change will take effect at the next
IPL of the node containing the LP.)
