When Changes Take Effect
Changes to this file take effect when the associated port is updated by one of the
methods described under “
When Changes Take Effect at the Port
” on page 9-3. A
change can be implemented on line by exiting the record (
[F3]
), then opening the asso-
ciated Port record and pressing
[F7]
to update the port.
CUG Parameters
CUG Number
is a number that will be associated with the index.
Incoming Calls Barred
is an X.25 facility that prevents (if
Y
) transmission of incoming calls within a specific
CUG.
Outgoing Calls Barred
is an X.25 facility that prevents (if
Y
) transmission of outgoing calls within a specific
CUG.
V.25bis Modem Operations
Creating a Modem Initialization Record
A record can be created that specifies a string of data to be sent out (verbatim) from a
V.25bis dial port to the modem each time the port is enabled (by node IPL or port
disable/enable).
Press
[E]
at the Port Configuration Menu (or
[A], [D, [E]
from the Main Menu). When
prompted, enter:

String name
(specified in the Port record).
●
Any other requested information, noting Table 9-3.
