Starting and Stopping Nodes and NMPS
Before shutting down any device, make sure all users are aware
that the device will be shutting down.
FRX8000 Switch
Starting a Switch
The FRX8000 Switch does not need the attached monitor and keyboard for
normal operation; however, they can be useful for displaying local status
and statistics.
To start an FRX8000, power the node on. The software will load, and the FRX8000
Test Menu (Figure G-1) will eventually be displayed. (This menu is described in the
FRX8000 Installation & Setup Guide.)
