INM/NMP Unix Operations
Changing the Time Zone, Date, or Time
When the FRX8000 software is installed, a certain time zone is specified when setting
the date and time. If you wish to change this or the UNIX date and time, follow this
procedure:
1. At the
[NETLINK]
prompt, type
su [Enter]
.
2. When prompted for a password, enter your “root” password.
3. At the
#
prompt, type
tz [Enter]
to change the time zone or
asktime [Enter]
to
change the date and time.
4. Follow the screen prompts.
When the operation is finished, you will be returned to the
#
prompt. Press
[Ctrl] [D]
to
return to the
[NETLINK]
prompt.
Displaying Various Data
Displaying or Printing a Directory
From the
[NETLINK]
prompt, choose the appropriate entry:

To
display a UNIX diskette directory
, type:
tar tv“n” [Enter]
, where “
n
” is the
number corresponding to the drive. (Omitting the “
n
” specifies the default drive,
which is the one used to install UNIX into the node.)

To
print a UNIX diskette directory
, type:
tar tv“n” >/dev/tty1a [Enter]
, where “
n
” is
the number corresponding to the drive. (Omitting the “
n
” specifies the default
drive.)

To
display a DOS diskette directory

dosdir x: (
