Resetting an Error Counter in Manual Mode
The following timing chart illustrates operation when the error counter is reset
while jogging manually.
If the Error Counter Reset Bit is ON at the completion of an origin search
operation, the error counter will be reset to 0.
Resetting an Error Counter in Automatic Mode
The following functions are performed by the Error Counter Reset Bit in Auto-
matic Mode.
• The error counter is reset.
• Program execution is paused.
• Program execution is restarted.
The status of the Error Counter Reset Bit is read at the completion of move-
ment for axis operations in Pass Mode and In-position Check OFF Mode. The
timing for resetting the error counter in each mode is shown in the following
illustrations.

It is assumed that the axis activated the clockwise limit switch
and struck a mechanical stopper at this point. The speed will be
immediately reduced to 0, but the pulses in the error counter will
remain, preventing the Positioning Completed Flag from turning
ON.
The Jogging Bit is turned OFF and the Error
Counter Reset Bit turned ON because the
Axis Operating Flag and Positioning Com-
pleted Flag remain OFF. This will reset the
error counter to 0 and cause the Positioning
Completed Flag to turn ON. The Error Flag,
however, will remain ON, and the Error Re-
set Bit must be turned ON before any further
jogging can be performed.
