7-3-18 G53: CHANGE WORKPIECE ORIGIN OFFSET
Changes the origin of the workpiece coordinate system.
Format
G53_<offset value ... >
Operands
The following table shows the possible settings for the operands.
Description
This command changes the offset between the reference coordinate system
origin and the workpiece coordinate system origin to a specified value. The
workpiece coordinate system will not be selected by executing this command.
Specify using the workpiece coordinate system with G51.
The default setting for the workpiece coordinate system origin is the work-
piece origin offset set in the system parameters when the main program is
executed from the beginning.
The workpiece origin offset that is set in system parameters will not be
updated by executing this command.
A software limit exceeded error will occur if a specified value exceeds the soft-
ware limits set in the system parameters.
