2.8.3 Changing Reagents
Prepare the Reagent
If necessary, prepare the bottles for the reagent corresponding to the type of analysis.
There are five kinds of reagent bottles used in this system:
180mL reagent bottle
120mL reagent bottle
60 mL reagent bottle
30 mL reagent bottle
15 mL reagent bottle
Beckman Coulter reagents have a reagent ID. Bottles can also be used without a reagent ID.
Load Reagent Bottles
The first and second reagent refrigerator can each hold 48 reagent bottles maximum.
Warning
If using 15 or 30 mL bottles, be sure to use the correct partitions as shown in the drawing below. If
using 120 mL bottles, remove the separator between bottles. Two 60 mL positions are required for the
120 mL bottles and three 60mL positions are required for the 180mL bottles.
1. Open the analyzer cover.
2. Lift up on the R1 or R2 reagent refrigerator cover and remove it.
