Text Length:
Sets this length to “256”, “512”, or “1024”. To change the setting, select one of
them from the pull-down list.
Unit No.:
Sets a unit number. To set a unit number, first check the check box at the left.
Each time the Space key is pressed, the check box status is switched between “Checked” and
“Unchecked”. Then, set the number within the range of 00 to 99.
ETB Control:
Sets whether to append the ETB (End Text Block) code as a text end signal. To
append the ETB (End Text Block) code, check the check box at the left. Each time the Space
key is pressed, the check box status is switched between “Checked” and “Unchecked”.
Bit/Sec.:
Sets the communication rate to “2400”, “4800”, or “9600”. To change the setting,
select one of them from the pull-down list.
Class:
Sets the communication class to “Class A” or “Class B”. To change the setting, select
one of them from the pull-down list.
Retry:
Sets the communication retry within the range of “0” to “3”. To change the setting,
select one of them from the pull-down list.
BCC Check:
Sets whether to append BCC (Block Check Character) to the end of a text. To
append BCC, check the check box at the left. Each time the Space key is pressed, the check box
status is switched between “Checked” and “Unchecked”.
T1 to T7:
Sets the time out of T1 to T7 within the range between “0” and “99”, respectively.
The unit is x100msec.
F8 :
Special: To set the special parameters of online communication protocol, observe the
following procedure.
1. Press the F8 (Special) key.
The “Special” dialog box is displayed.
2. Set “Type”, “Dummy”, “Data No.”, “Sample No./ID”, and “Cuvette” in the dialog box.
3. Select the “Close” button.
The set parameters are registered.
Use this software screen to:
1. Select [Parameters], [Online].
2. Select the "Protocols" tab.
3. Press function key F4 (set).
4. According to the messages displayed, set the online parameters to accommodate the host.
Note
The function key F7 (special) is used to make different Beckman Coulter analyzers compatible with each
other when communicating with the host computer.
5. After the settings are complete, press function key F2 (exit).
Parameters are saved.
