Calculated Test Name: 1. TIBC Type: Serum
Description:
Use this screen to select tests and set up the equations for calculated tests.
Test Name:
Select the tests involved in the calculation. Use the pull-down menu to select each
test. Test numbers without a test name cannot be entered.
Constant:
Set the coefficients used in the calculation formula. Four kinds of coefficients, from
"a" to "d," can be set using a numerical value within the range of 9999999 to -9999999. Patient
information (between 1 and 6), set in [Routine], [Normal], can be set as a coefficient. To do
this, use the "@n" (n = 1 to 6) format. In the “Coefficient” column, “Patient information” will
be displayed. To leave blank, enter a space.
Formula:
Use the entered calculated test numbers, "A" to "E" and coefficients "a" to "d," to
define the formula. The following symbols and alphanumeric characters can be used: +, - ,
* , /, (, ) , A, B, C, D, and E, and a, b, c, and d. A “/” denotes division and an “*” denotes
multiplication. Example, for a formula to obtain the A/G ratio from ALB and TP set as follows:
Calculated test A (ALB), calculated test B (TP), Calc. formula: A/(B-A). A calculation formula
can use a max of 5 tests.
Use this software screen to:
Set inter-test calculation parameters:
1. Select [Parameters], [Inter-Related Tests], [Calculated Tests].
The saved inter-test
calculation parameters are displayed.
2. Enter a calculated test name.
Use the pull-down menu located by the "Test Name" field.
The </> buttons can also be used to select a test name.
3. Select a sample type.
Use the pull-down menu located by the "Type" field.
4. Press function key F4 (set).
