2.5.1 Entering Individual Requisitions (Routine, Emergency and Priority
STATs)
For detailed information on performing priority STAT requisition and analysis, refer to
“Performing Priority STAT Analysis.”
1. From the main menu, select [Routine], [Test Requisition] and [Normal], in that order. The
screen for requisitioning normal analysis is displayed.

2. Select the following from the “type” pull-down menu: serum, urine or other.
3. Verify the sample number is correct for the next sample number to be processed on the
AU2700. If you are processing emergency samples: Type an “E” to test emergency
samples in the red rack or type a “P” to test emergency samples on the STAT table. Use
function key F8 (S. No.) to select a specific sample number.
4. Press function key F4 (start entry).
5. Enter the S. ID (sample ID or barcode) number if barcodes are in use or for manual entry
that appears on the printout.
6. Highlight the tests to be performed in blue by clicking them with the mouse. Tests
highlighted grey are not operational for the sample type selected.
7. Select function key F4 (entry). The next sample number is available for requisition.
8. Press function key F2 (exit) to return to the [Normal] screen. Repeat steps 2-7 for all
sample types in use.
9. Optional Step: When all requisitions are performed, select the [Demographics] tab and
enter the patient information.
