2.6 QC Monitor
After quality control analysis, check results. Two methods are provided to confirm results: one
is by observing the daily variation and the other is by observing the day-to-day variation.
About Quality Control:
With the [Daily Control] screen and [Day To Day Control] screen each control chart can be
generated. The maximum width of a chart will be a mean ±3 SD. Two dotted lines are also
drawn as the control limits (usually ±2SD).

If some data is outside the control limits, or if the data traces a slope or changes suddenly even
though the data falls within the control limits, it is necessary to consider the causes and take
the appropriate action. Possible causes are: deterioration of reagents, stained cuvettes, incorrect
parameter settings, and deterioration of a control serum.
Tips
The mean value, upper control limit, and lower control limit of a chart should be set in the [Parameters,]
[QC Control] screen.
