Use this software screen to:

Save data to standard floppy disks or to Smart Media cards:

Using the

Data Output

save operation, an optional Beckman Coulter 128MB SmartMedia

card and Flashpath SmartMedia floppy disk adapter store up to 64,000 samples depending on

the amount of information included in each sample. Store multiple indexes on one disk without

overwriting existing data. The data is formatted to open in Microsoft Excel. Each file name

is the index date and time. To use the floppy disk adapter, install the Flashpath device driver

software on the analyzer PC, and on any other PC that reads the data from the adapter.

Using the Offline save operation, a standard 2HD (double-sided high-density) floppy disk stores

approximately 250 samples in a file named offline.dat.

Prepare for saving data:

1. Select [Maintenance], [Data Operation], Offline Output.

2. In the Normal Run, Repeat Run, and QC tabs, select the following items to save: Index,

sample type (serum or urine; routine, emergency, or stat).

3. At Sample No., enter the range of sample numbers to save, or at Sample ID, enter the

range of sample ID numbers to save. Enter * to save the entire range of sample numbers

or sample ID numbers displayed.

Choose a storage media and save the data:

To save data to an Beckman Coulter 128 MB SmartMedia card, do the following:
1. Press F7 (Mode Select) to toggle the display to Data Output.
2. Press F8 (Set Format). The Set Format window appears. Select the desired demographic

information, text format, and output sequence.

3. Press F5 (Data Send) to save the data.

4. Insert the floppy disk. Select "Yes" at the prompt.

Note

If the FD drive remains inactive, error messages can occur when saving data. To activate the drive, eject

and reinsert the FD drive.

To save data to a standard floppy disk, do the following:

1. Press F7 (Mode Select) to toggle the display to Offline.

2. Press F5 (Data Send) to save the data.

Note

If a file with this name already exists on the floppy disk, the save operation overwrites the file.
