Drainage
Drain hole:
Should be installed at a height of 4 inches or less from the installation
floor. Can be installed at a height of 4 feet or less, if forced drainage
equipment (optional) is used.
Consult package inserts for reagents. Handle substances appropriately after reviewing
•
accompanying documentation from the reagent manufacturer or distributor.

Washing waste liquid (washing water +
detergent)
56.6 L/1600 tests (1 hour)
Caution
Treat drain water as infectious waste. Connect the drain hose to the drain hole which leads to the
infectious waste disposal facility. Otherwise, reserve the drain water and allow it to be disposed of by
qualified personnel.
Installing a Deionizer
The AU2700 requires deionized water for washing water and reagent diluent. Select a
deionizer which can supply the average amount of water consumed, 65 L/hour, and the
maximum instantaneous water consumption, 3.8 L/minute. For information about requirements
for a deionizer, refer to the quantity consumed and maximum consumption of the AU2700,
described above in "Water Supply and Drainage." The purity of deionized water should meet
the requirements of the College of American Pathologists (CAP) Type II, and its electric
conductivity should be 2
µ
S/cm or less (resistivity: 0.5
ΜΩ
cm or greater). To remove bacteria,
use a 0.5 micron filter at the outlet of the deionizer.
Wiring and Piping
The wiring and piping of this system should conform to the following:
The system should be installed within 30 feet of the distribution panel (within range of the
•
power cable).
The system should be installed within 30 feet of the water supply and drainage location
•
(within range of the water supply and drain hoses).
The drainage head should be at a height of 4 inches or less from the installation floor. It can
•
be installed at a height of 4 feet or less if the forced drainage equipment (optional) is used.
