AU2700 User's Guide

Setting Sample Containers into the Rack

Place the sample containers into the rack so that they meet the conditions shown in the figure

below:

Be sure to use the correct rack color.

•

When using sample containers with a barcode label, position the barcode surface within

•

mm to the center of the side slit of each hole on the rack.

Instruction

Do not rotate the sample containers set in the rack to change their direction. The barcode may be

contaminated or scratched resulting in a barcode read error. Remove the sample container from the

rack, and then rotate the container in the correct direction before reinserting it into the hole.

Flex Rack Adapters

The flex rack does not need adapters for sample containers with dimensions of 13.60 to

16.00 mm. This rack does need adapters for sample containers with dimensions of 11.5

to 13.6 mm. When using containers with a diameter of 14.0 to 15.0 mm, the operator will

need to determine if an adapter is necessary since plastic sample containers may be tapered

and the diameter may be difficult to judge.
