2.8.6 How to Place the Sample Pre-dilution Bottle

To use the automatic pre-dilution feature on this system, perform the following procedure when

preparing the analyzer for analysis. Samples will automatically be diluted with deionized

water retrieved from the pre-dilution bottle when the bottle is placed on the analyzer and the

parameters are set.
One predilution bottle can process the following number of tests:
10-time dilution:  500 tests approximately
50-time dilution:  450 tests approximately

1. Prepare a 120 mL reagent bottle to be used as a pre-dilution bottle.
2. Fill the sample pre-dilution bottle with deionized water. See the Maintenance Chapter for

proper cleaning procedures.

3. Set the bottle near the reagent refrigerator as shown below. Place the bottle in the

compartment so it does not protrude above the surface of the analyzer top. If it is not

placed properly reagent probe crashes could occur. Also, do not place the cap on the

bottle when it is on the analyzer, this also causes probe crashes.
