The number of digits should be set to 13 •
The first and last two characters on a barcode label are automatically ignored •
If "Mixed" is selected:
If no digit number is set, only the barcodes with readable digits can be recognized for the •
2 of 5 interleaved and 2 of 5 standard types. For example, even if the MSD or LSD of a
barcode cannot be read due to poor positioning of the label, the error will not be judged
as incorrect. Position a barcode label correctly on a sample container.
An ISBT-128 barcode is handled as a CODE-128 barcode. •
The number of digits should be 26 characters or less. To read any label between 1 to 26
digits, enter a space.

Rack No. Limit: Set the upper limit of rack numbers that can identify samples by their type.
For example: If the upper limit for routine serum sample racks is 100, the next number "101"
will be identified as a urine sample rack. For routine and emergency samples, enter a value
that satisfies the “Upper limit of serum’s rack No., Upper limit of urine’s rack No.” For repeat-
run samples, enter a value that satisfies the “Routine sample (serum), Routine sample (urine),
Routine sample (other). Emergency sample (serum), Emergency sample (urine), Emergency
sample (other).” To set “No designation,” enter a space.
Auto/Standard repeat: Set whether repeat run is performed automatically or manually.
Manual repeat run:
Set to “Standard”
Automatic repeat run: Set to “Auto”
Use this software screen to:
Enter system set-up parameters:
Set system set-up parameters such as an analysis method and barcode specification.
1. Select [Parameters], [System], [System].
2. Press function key F4 (set).
3. Set the following: test requisition, barcode, rack number limit, and auto/standard repeat.
4. After settings are complete, press function key F2 (exit).
The settings are saved.
