Inter-Test Check Name: 1.
Type: Serum
Check Name:

Check Range:
Decimal Places: 0

Description:
If a calculation formula and its associated coefficients are set in advance across multiple analysis
items, it is possible to check whether the results fall within a predetermined range. It is also
possible to append an error flag to analysis result data if it is outside the predetermined range.
Check name:
To select a check name, click on the box using the mouse. A maximum of 8
characters can be entered. In addition, using a format of “*nnn” permits the nnn’th comment to
be set in the Comment Master File as a check name. To set “No designation,” enter a space.
See Also
For information about the Comment Master File, refer to "Comment Master" located in the parameters
section of this chapter.
Test Name:
Set analysis tests subject to calculation. Five kinds of analysis tests, from “A” to
“E,” can be assigned as the checked analysis tests. Use the pull-down menu to select a test or
select (none). Test numbers of analysis tests that do not have a test name cannot be entered.
Constant:
Use the pull-down menu to select the coefficients of a calculation formula for inter-
test calculation. Four kinds of coefficients, from “a” to “d,” can be set using a numerical value
within the range between -9999999 and 9999999. Patient information (between 1 and 6), set
in [Routine], [Normal], which has a numerical attribute can be set as a coefficient. Use the
following format: “@n” (n = 1 to 6). In the “Coefficient” column patient information will be
displayed. To leave this field blank, enter a space.
Formula:
Use the entered calculated tests numbers, “A” to “E” and coefficients “a” to “d,” to
define a calculation formula. The following symbols and alphanumeric characters can be used:
+, - , * , /, (, ) , A, B, C, D, and E, and a, b, c, and d. A “/” denotes division and an “*”
denotes multiplication. For example, specify a formula such as (GOT / AST) / (GPT / ALT)
using GOT / AST and GPT / ALT. A calculation formula can use a maximum of 4 tests.
