2.3.1 Performing a Calibration and Reagent Blank on the Analyzer
1. From the main screen, select [Routine], [Test Requisition] and [Calibration] in that order.
The calibration requisition screen is displayed.

F4 (Start Entry)
2. Use the pull-down menu to select the sample type: serum, urine or other.
3. The field called “Cuvette” defaults to “All.” Keep this set to “All,” unless your
laboratory has decided to use another option. Tests assigned to the inner and outer
cuvette wheel (all test) are available to order. Use the arrow to select “Inner” or “Outer”
exclusively
if
tests are programmed on both the inner and outer wheel in [Parameter].
4. Press function key F4 (start entry).
5. Select the tests requiring a calibration. Blue indicates reagent blank only, yellow
indicates reagent blank and calibration (All).
Enter a profile number (1-99) at the profile field. •
Use the mouse or keyboard to select individual tests. •
Select function key F6 (Change Option) to change between calibration and RB only. •
Select function key F7 (Select All Tests) to requisition all reagent blanks and •
calibrators.
Select function key F8 (RB All) to requisition a reagent blank only on all tests. •
Select the Individual Requisition button to order sequenced bottles (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) of •
the same test.
6. Press function key F4 (entry). Repeat steps 2-6 to requisition for another sample type if
required.
7. Press function key F2 (exit). Verify that all tests requiring a reagent blank or calibration
are highlighted in yellow (reagent blank + calibration) or blue (reagent blank only).
8. Exit the [Calibration] screen.
9. First place the reagent blank rack, then the calibration rack on the analyzer.
10. Close the cover, then press Start.
