4.3.5  How to Perform a Manual Repeat Run Using the STAT Table

To quickly perform repeat runs on a small number of samples, use the STAT table.  The 

following procedure explains how to program and perform a manual repeat run.  If the system 

has been preprogrammed to perform a manual repeat run, follow the procedures in the AU2700 

Quick Response Guide.
To repeat a priority STAT sample on the STAT table:

1.  After running priority STAT samples, print a repeat run worklist.
2.  From the main menu, select [Parameters], [System], [System].  
3.  Select function key F4 (set).

4.  Use the pull-down menu by the “Auto/Standard Repeat” field and select “Standard.”

5.  Press function key F2 (exit) twice.
6.  From the main menu select [Parameters], [Repeat Parameters], [Repeat Common].
7.  Select function key F4 (set).  

The box to the left of the Auto Repeat field should have a 

check mark in it.

8.  In the [Repeat Common] screen, select any flags to generate repeat requisitions.  Flags 

can be set in one of the 5 following categories.  
A.  The normal repeat mode uses the original sample volume to repeat the test.   

B.  The dilution repeat mode uses a user defined sample volume smaller than the original 

sample volume to perform a “dilution.”  Dilution can also be performed by  

 

using a dilution cuvette and defining the amount of dilution from 5-100.  See  

 

  ‘How to Perform a Manual Repeat Run’ for more information.

C.  The “OR mode” requisitions a repeat if any flag selected is generated.  
D.  The “AND mode” requisitions a repeat only if all flags selected are generated on a 

test.

E.   The “Condense” category increases the sample volume for a repeat run. 

9.  If you want to set up specific test repeat ranges:  Select [Parameters], [Repeat 

Parameters], [Repeat Specific].  Enter a range at the “Repeat Decision Level” to generate 

J (above the range) and K (below the range) flags.

10. If you want to perform a dilution refer to ‘How to Perform a Manual Repeat Run’.

11. Place the STAT sample in a position on the STAT table for STAT serum repeat, STAT 

urine repeat, or STAT other repeat.  If the sample containers are barcoded, they can be 

placed in any order in the designated areas of the STAT table.  Press the STAT button to 

begin analysis.  The first repeat sample number will be HP001, HUP001, or HXP001.
