Precautions in using a 180mL bottle
Instruction
If a bottle or an insertion pipe is contaminated, incorrect analysis data may be obtained or foaming of •
reagent may result. Confirm that the bottle and the insertion pipe are not contaminated before starting
analysis.
If a reagent bottle to be set in the reagent tray is fully filled with reagent or detergent, the reagent or •
detergent will froth up. This may cause a reagent level detection error.
Be sure to remove the insertion pipe from the dispensing opening, then add reagent via the pouring
•
opening on the bottle.
The maximum reagent amount is approximately 180mL. Add reagent to approximately 2cm below
•
the shoulder of a 180mL bottle.
When the reagent voume is checked while a 180mL bottle is filled with 180mL of reagent, the •
system indicates that the remainder of reagent is approximately 165mL. This is due to the variation
in capacity between bottles and the influence of dead volume are taken into account.
When reagent has been added, first put the cap on the pouring opening and then insert the insertion
•
pipe into the dispensing opening. When inserting the insertion pipe exercise care not to foam the
reagent.
After adding reagent to a bottle, gently set it in the tray so that the reagent will not foam on its
•
surface.
Be sure to place an insertion pipe into reagent bottle before using. If the bottle is used without an
•
insertion pipe, a reagent error may result.
Do not dampen the outside surface of the insertion pipe or the bottle opening or incline the bottle
•
filled with reagent or a reagent error may occur during volume check.
When storing the reagent bottle, remove the insertion pipe. If the bottle is stored with the pipe •
inserted, the reagent will be deposited between the pipe and opening causing instability in reagent.
