Dimensions of Barcode Labels for Flex Racks

a ≤ Cup length – (7-5)
7mm: Rack insertion portion
5mm : Vertical margin of barcode label to be applied
Barcode width
a' = a – Right margin – Left margin
Both the right margin and left margin should be 3mm or more.

Printing Barcode Labels
Print barcode labels according to the following specifications:
Print contrast signal value •
If NB (narrow bar) is between 0.165 and 0.50 mm : The print contrast signal value should
be 0.60 or more.
If NB (narrow bar) is between 0.130 and 0.156 mm : The print contrast signal value should
be 0.85 or more.
Print contrast signal value = (RL - R0)/RL
RL: Reflectance of white bars and margins
R0: Reflectance of black bars
The reflectance of white bars and margins should be more than 70% •
The following should not be present: •
Scratch with a diameter greater than 0.1 mm,
omitted pattern, blur, or void (black point) on white bars.
Barcode Label Specifications for Flex Racks
Use barcode labels which conform to the following specifications:
Type of barcode •
Select one of the following types from [Parameters], [System], [System]: NW7, CODE39,
CODE128, 2 of 5 standard, 2 of 5 interleaved, mixed, ISBT-128 (alone). If “mixed” is selected,
analysis can be performed with multiple types of barcodes being mixed (except ISBT-128).
