2.4 Quality Control Analysis
This procedure explains how to requisition for QC samples. Unlike the calibration
requisition screen, the QC requisition screen defaults to perform all the QC tests. This
procedure can also be used to deselect tests for the QC requisition that do not need QC
analysis.
2.4.1 Requisitioning QC Samples
Note
QC requisition defaults to all tests for bottle sequence 1 only. •
A reagent volume check resets [QC Requisition] to what the analyzer automatically requisitioned for •
QC. The analyzer automatically requisitions all QC for bottle sequence 1.
Verify that [Reagent Status] is not red “Unchecked” before making any QC requisitions.

1. From the main menu [Routine], [Test Requisition], [QC]. The QC requisition screen
appears.

2. At “Type,” select serum, urine, or others.
3. Select F4 Start Entry:
Select any tests that do not need QC to remove the blue highlight. •
Select F8 Deselect All to remove the highlight from all tests. Select the test(s) required •
for QC analysis.
Select the Individual Requisition button to requsition sequenced bottles (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) of •
the same test.
Select the “All for One Test” button to requisition all sequenced bottles of the •
selected test.
Select the “All for All Tests” button to requisition all sequenced bottles for all •
tests.
4. Press F4 Entry. Verify QC requisitions. The tests to QC are highlighted in blue.
5. Repeat steps 2-4 to requisition another sample type if necessary.
6. Select F6 QC to view a picture of the racks and controls required. Select the Detail Inf.
button to view the QC names and assigned positions.
7. Load the QC tubes in the correct green rack using the Detail Inf. Button.
8. Press the Start Key or icon.
