2.4.5 Programming Auto QC
1. QC positions and sample type must be assigned to the STAT table in [System
Maintenance].
2. From the main menu select the [Parameters], [QC Control], [STAT Table QC].
3. From the “Round Name” field, select round 1, 2, or 3.
4. Press function key F4 (set).
5.From the “Operation” field, select “Auto.”
6. Assign QC to the STAT table by performing the following:
A. Press function key F5 (edit).
B. Use the pull-down menu at the “Control Name” prompt to program a QC material to a
position on the STAT table. The QC material is assigned to a QC number. Refer to the
[Parameters], [QC Control], [QC Common] screen.
C. Use the arrow buttons at the “Position No.” field to set all positions.
D. Select the “Close” button.
7. Select the “Test” tab.
8. Select the test to program for auto QC.
9. Press function key F5 (edit).
10. The “Available/Unavailable” status displays based on programming from [Parameters],
[QC Control], [QC Specific]. If a test has QC numbers assigned, the status is available.
If the test does not have QC assigned, the status is unavailable.
11. From the “Cyclic Type” prompt, select “Test” or “Sample.”Test - counts the specific test
regardless of sample tubes. Sample - counts sample tubes regardless of the test.
12. Set the “Count” to the desired frequency for QC after “Test,” or “Sample.”
13. Check “Execution after Calibration” to run QC after auto or advanced calibration.
14. Check “Execution at Measure Start” to run QC each time the analyzer goes from Standby
to Measure 1.
15. Use the arrow buttons at “Test Name” to go to the next test.
16. Select the “Close” button.
17. Press function key F2 (exit) and verify the information on the screen.
18. Press function key F2 (exit).
19. Verify the programming by selecting [System Status], [STAT Table Status]. The QC
numbers display in the assigned positions. Function key F7 (QC Req.) is gray and not
operational.
