It is recommended to use bars and spaces of 2.5 NB or more so that WB (wide bar), WS (side space),
and G (gap) can be identified easily. If less than 0.2 mm of NB (narrow bar) is used, it is recommended
to use the barcode check character to retain the reliability of the barcode read.
Setting Sample Containers into the Rack
Place the sample containers into the rack so that they meet the conditions shown in the figure

Placing Sample Containers in the Correct Rack
Rack placement depends on the analysis mode selected:
1. Sequential - Sample numbers must be placed in sequential order in the racks.
2. Rack ID — Rack IDs can be in use for Rack ID numbers 1-400.

3. Sample ID — Once requisitioned by sample ID and the sample ID is placed properly on
the sample containers, place the containers in any order in the white racks.
Serum, urine, and other samples need to be placed in the correct white rack, designated by
the rack ID. The system can be programmed to set a range of rack IDs for serum (ex. 1-100),
urine (ex. 101-200) and other (ex. 201-999). Once the rack ID is read, the system analyzes the
sample based on serum, urine, or other parameters. Serum, urine, or other samples must be
requisitioned separately and placed in racks with the correct rack ID. The rack ID settings can
be selected in [Parameters], [Online].
