6.4 Pausing Analysis
The analyzer shifts to a Pause mode due to insufficient wash solution, full rack collection area,
or other error. Non-fatal errors can cause the analyzer to go into Pause mode.
The operator selected the Pause key or icon to get into Pause mode to load reagents.
Results in progress complete. No test results are lost.
Warning
Racks have stopped moving on the belts -
do not move the racks or errors will result!
All racks will
start again when Start is selected from Pause.

Only the Reset and Check Specified Position options are available, perform the Check Specifed Positions
on the new reagent(s).
The reagent check is only available
before
the Reagent Short alarm is generated.
1. Press the Pause function key or pause icon (||) on the menu bar during the analysis
operation.
The window for executing the pause is displayed.
2. The analyzer mode displays as Meas
Pause for 14 minutes while the testing in progress
is completed. Next, the mode displays as Meas 4 (curvette washing) for 2 minutes, then
displays Pause. In Pause, reagents can be loaded and a reagent volume check performed
to update the new reagent volume.
A reagent check
is the
only
procedure requiring the
14 minute
wait. After adding Wash Solution or removing the racks from the collection
area, press START to resume analysis.
