AU2700 User's Guide

March 2000

Login/Logout Function

Outline of Login/Logout Function

Software menu screens can be restricted to certain users for extra system security. The login/

logout function is used to determine the range of menu items that the user can access, depending

on the login name and password. The system registers the login names and passwords of the

users. The access levels must be setup for the menu items and registered users. The user can

access the menu items that are equivalent to or lower than the user access level.

Tip

The login names and access levels should be setup by the system administrator or qualified service

personnel.

Login at System Start-up

Execute login when starting the system. The accessible menu range is determined at login.

Menus which can be started immediately are displayed in blue. Menus with a level higher than

the login level are displayed in a light color.

To avoid entering a login name and password, just press enter. The lowest level of menus are

available. When login is executed, the login name and time are recorded in the alarm log list.

Procedure for Executing Login or Temporary Login

When the system is started, the window for inputting the login name and password will be

displayed. (Note: Use the same procedure if one user has logged out and a different user is

logging in.)

1. Input the login name and press the Enter key.

Move the cursor onto the password input

field.

2. Type the password and press the Enter key.

The system asks for a login name. If the

password is consistent with the registered login name, the menu bar or selected screen

will appear. If it is not consistent, the system returns to the wait state for a designated

login name.

Procedure for Executing Logout

Select [Logout] when the menu bar is displayed. After logging out, the name and time are

recorded in the alarm log file.
