No.4 Engine Mount Removal Note
Caution
•
To prevent damage to the body, insert a
rag into the gap between the fender and
body, when installing the SST.
1.
Support the engine by using the
SST
before
removing the engine mounting member.
Caution
•
Wrap a rag around the ball joint dust seal
to protect it from damage.
2. Wrap a rag around the ball joint dust boot.
3. Pry the lower arm out of the knuckle.

2. Remove the No.4 engine mount.
Tie-Rod End Removal Note
Caution
•
The sharp edges of the SST can slice the
tie-rod end dust boot. Install the SST so
that the sharp edges are between the dust
boot and the tie rod.
1. Remove the cotter pin and nut.
2. Disconnect the tie rod end from the knuckle by
using the
SST.

Lower Arm Removal Note
1. Remove the clinch bolt from the lower arm ball
joint.
Drive Shaft Removal Note
1. Remove the clip.
2. Remove the ABS wheel speed sensor harness
mounting nuts.

3. Separate the driver side drive shaft from the joint
shaft by using a brass bar and a hammer.
Caution
•
The sharp edges of the drive shaft snap
ring can slice or puncture the oil seal. Be
careful when removing the drive shaft from
the transaxle.
Note
•
Do not pry on the seal surface.
