Remove column cover.
Inspect wiring harness between terminal A at
headlight (LH) connector and 1B at light
switch (headlight switch) connector, between
terminal B at headlight (LH) connector and
terminal 1A at light switch (headlight switch)
connector, between terminal A at headlight
(RH) connector and terminal 1F at light switch
(headlight switch) connector, between terminal
B at headlight (RH) connector and terminal 1H
at light switch (headlight switch) connector for
following.
• Short to ground
• Open circuit
Is wiring harness okay?

Yes Go to next step.
No Repair wiring harness between headlight and light switch
(headlight switch).
16 Remove column cover.
Inspect light switch (headlight switch).
c r 0 9 -1 8 LIGHT SWITCH INSPECTION
Is light switch (headlight switch) okay?
Yes
Go to next step.
No Replace light switch (headlight switch).

17 Measure voltage at terminal 2F at light switch
(headlight switch) connector of wiring harness.
Is voltage
5 V?
Yes Replace light switch (headlight switch).

No Go to next step.

18 Measure voltage at terminal 3B at CPU
connector C of wiring harness.
Is voltage
0 V?
Yes Replace CPU.
ter 0 9 -4 0 CPU REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
No Repair wiring harness between light switch (headlight
switch) and CPU.
