SEAT BELT
REAR BUCKLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. Remove the rear seat cushion.
2. Remove in the order indicated in the table.
3. Install in the reverse order of removal.

SEAT BELT ELR INSPECTION
1. Verify the belt can be pulled out smoothly and that
it moves smoothly when worn.
2. Verify the retractor locks when the belt is quickly
pulled.

5. Slowly incline the retractor while pulling out the
belt.
6. Verify that the retractor locks at
approxim ately
30° inclination.

3. Remove the retractor.
4. Hold the retractor as it would be installed.
7. If not as specified, replace the seat belt.
SEAT BELT ALR INSPECTION
1. Pulling the belt out all the way will change the lock
mode from ELR to ALR.
2. Verify the retractor makes a clicking sound as the
belt slowly retracts. If no sound is heard, the lock
mode has not changed to ALR. If necessary,
repeat step 1.

3. Verify the belt locks when pulled.
4. Verify the lock mode changes to ELR when the
belt fully retracts.
5. If not as specified, replace the seat belt.
