Fuel Pressure Release and Servicing Fuel System

fuel.

Fuel line spills and leaks are dangerous.
Fuel can ignite and cause serious injuries
or death and damage. Fuel can also irritate
skin and eyes. To prevent this, always
complete the following “Fuel Line Safety
Procedures.”
Fuel Line Safety Procedures
1. R e le a s e th e fu e l p re s s u re b e fo re d is c o n n e c tin g a
fu e l line.
(1) S ta rt th e e n g in e .
(2) R e m o v e th e fu e l p u m p relay.
(3) A fte r th e e n g in e sta lls , tu rn th e ig n itio n sw itc h
to OFF.
(4) Install th e fu e l p u m p relay.

(1) W h e n d is c o n n e c tin g a fu e l line hose, w ra p a
rag a ro u n d it to p ro te c t a g a in s t fu e l le a k a g e .
(2) P lug th e h ose a fte r re m o va l.
3. Install h ose c la m p s to s e c u re th e fu e l p re s s u re
g a u g e to th e fu e l filte r a n d th e m ain hose.
