TROUBLESHOOTING [POWER DOOR LOCK SYSTEM]
STEP INSPECTION
ACTION
Make sure that driver’s side door is opened.
Connect voit-meter between CPU connector
terminal 2 0 and ground.
Perform following procedures within 30
seconds:
0 Repeat following five times:
• Turn ignition switch to ON.
• Turn ignition switch to LOCK.
S Remove ignition key from steering lock.
Repeat following three times:
• Push driver’s side door switch.
• Release driver’s side door switch.
Measure voltage at CPU connector terminal
2 0
.
• 5 V (during performing the above
procedures) -> 0 V (until on-board
diagnostic activate verification buzzer
sounds)
Is voltage 0 V?

Yes Go to next step.
No Visually check for bents or other damage to CPU
connector terminals.
If terminals are okay, replace CPU.
Turn ignition switch to ON.
Connect jum per wire between CPU connector
terminal 2 0 and ground.
Does buzzer sound?
Yes
Replace CPU.
No Disconnect keyless unit connector.
Go to next step.
Turn ignition switch to LOCK.
Is there continuity between keyless unit
connector B terminal and ground?
Yes Go to next step.
No Repair ground.

10 Connect keyless unit connector.
Turn ignition switch ON.
Measure voltage at keyless unit connector
terminal A.
Is voltage B+?
Yes If on-board diagnostic function 1 is inoperative, go to next
step.
If on-board diagnostic function 2 is inoperative, go to step
12
.
No
Check for open circuit between fuse panel and keyless
unit connector terminal A.
