Instrument reset
In order to obtain a predictable result the measurement wizard has to reset all settings
except the current calibration data. Store your recall set if you do not want to lose the
current configuration.

Balanced Ports Dialog
The "Balanced Ports" dialog selects a balanced port configuration and defines refer-
ence impedances for the balanced ports. Selecting a balanced port configuration
means that one or more pairs of physical test ports are combined to form logical (bal-
anced) ports.
Access:
TRACE – MEAS > "S-Params" > "Balanced Ports..."
Measurements do not necessarily require all of the physical and logical ports of the
network analyzer. To save measurement time, it is recommended to specify the ports
that are not used in the current test setup as "Unused" ports. Unused ports will not be
considered for the calculation of mixed mode, Z- and Y-parameters.

Predefined Config Tab
The "Predefined Config" tab of the "Balanced Ports" dialog provides the most com-
monly used balanced port configurations for the analyzer.
This tab is hidden if more than 4 test ports are available (on the VNA and/or connected
switch matrices).
