Message Wait Lamp
If this option is enabled, the Message Lamp at the Guest extension will light indicating the
mailbox has messages to which the Guest has not listened.
Access Digit/Lamp On String
This option is used with Centralized Voice Mail (Remote Tenant Service) and 384i.
Availability:
•
All versions of the NT Voice Mail.
•
May not apply to all phone systems. See the Integration Guide for
specifics.
Default:
Disabled. The option is disabled as indicated by no check mark (
) in
the radio box.
Entries:
Clicking in the radio box toggles between de-selecting (no check
mark,
) and selecting the option (has a check mark,
).
Notes:
•
Make sure an extension number is assigned to the Extension field
above
•
If the Guest Mailbox receives a message while someone is logged on
to it, the Voice Mail does not flash the Message Lamp until the person
exits the mailbox. The Voice Mail does, however, play the voice
prompt, You have received new messages. The Voice Mail plays this
voice prompt if the person dials 9 to exit or returns to the Main Menu
before exiting

To enable Msg Wait Lamp callouts (updates) for a port, use the Allow
Lamp and Allow Notification/Wake-Up in Customizing Port Options,
on page 307 and page 308, respectively.
