Subscriber Mail boxes
Description
A Subscriber Mailbox is a mailbox you assign to an extension, so the extension user can access the
Voice Mail features. After calling (logging onto) the Subscriber Mailbox, a Subscriber can record
and listen to messages, record a mailbox greeting and name, use Message Notification, etc. For
instructions on calling a Subscriber Mailbox and using its features, see the User’s Guide.
To access Subscriber Mailboxes:
1.

on page 360 to determine the mailbox numbers
that are used for Subscriber Mailboxes.
2.
Once you determine which mailbox number to use, go the Voice Mail Main Screen:

To have the Automated Attendant answer a call using a Subscriber Mailbox,
see Subscriber Mailbox on page 113. To let Automated Attendant callers
route their call to a Subscriber mailbox or extension, see Screened Transfer

To have the Automated Attendant answer a call using a Subscriber Mailbox,
see page 113. To let Automated Attendant callers route their calls to a Sub-
scriber mailbox or extension, see Screened Transfer to an Extension in
page 131.

An extension user can also transfer an outside caller to a Subscriber Mailbox.
See Transferring a Call to a Mailbox in the User's Guide. This type of transfer
is allowed only if the Subscriber Mailbox number falls into the extension
numbering plan of the phone system

To record a name for a Subscriber Mailboxes or to record a Broadcast Mes-
sage, use the System Administrator’s Menu. The Broadcast Message plays to
all Subscriber, Message Center, Future Delivery and Guest Mailboxes.
