Miscellaneous Strings (cont’d)
Off Hook Call Announce
Off Hook Call Announce is a string of codes that the Voice Mail will dial, when Call
Announcing Option 2 or Option 3 is in use at a busy Subscriber extension.
When you have finished entering values for the options on the Dial Strings tab of the System
Options dialog box,
click the
button to save your entries.
Default:
ONYX: 1P@A13
DBS: 5P@A8
Entries:
None
Up to 10 digits including the Special Codes below.
Place the digits and/or Special Codes in the following format
Q
For Option 2 (ONYX): XP@A
Q
For Option 2 (DBS): XP@A
Q
For Option 3 (ONYX only): XP@A|Y
The following explains the format codes:
X - Code(s) in phone system that activates off-hook signaling
P - Pause 2 seconds to allow the phone system to cut into a busy call.
(P is a special code)
@ - Say Call Announce prompts: Hello, I have a call for (Sub-
scriber’s extension number or recorded mailbox name) from (name
that caller recorded)
A - Pauses 2 secs to see if there is still busy tone
(A is a Special Code)
Z - Completes a transfer to a non-busy extension. (For DBS only)
| - Means that the Voice Mail should dial the string that follows the
“|” after detecting a busy code at the extension (For ONYX only)
Y - This is the string that will send Call Waiting beeps to an extension.
(For ONYX only) .
W - Wait for dial tone
S - Wait for any type of sound
P - Pause (After a 2 sec pause, the Voice Mail dials the next digit.)
M - Monitored pause (After a 2 sec pause, the Voice Mail dials the next
digit if no busy/reorder. Otherwise, Voice Mail ends the call.)
A - Analyzed pause (After a 4 sec pause, the Voice Mail dials the next
digit if no busy/reorder. Otherwise, Voice Mail ends the call.)
$ - Escape (Not currently supported. Only applies to Mitel or Norstar
phone systems, using Dialogic D42SX or NS cards.)
Special codes:
F - Flash
P, A, M, W, S, @, | - Same as above
H - Hang Up code
