Description
Using a System Administrator Mailbox, you can shut down the Voice Mail system. You must shut
down the Voice Mail before you reset the Voice Mail or before you turn off power. If you do not,
theVoice Mail database may get corrupted.
To prepare the System for Power-Down:
1. Call System Administrator Mailbox:
From any extension in the Voice Mail:
— Get intercom dial tone + Dial Voice Mail master ext If requested, dial Sys Admin
Mailbox If requested, dial security code.
From outside, using the Voice Mail:
— Dial Auto Attendant Wait for gr Press # + Dial Sys Admin Mailbox
If requested, dial security code.

Availability: All versions of the NT Voice Mail
Notes:
• If there is activity in the system when you start the shutdown, the Voice Mail
gives you three options: you can wait until activity ceases, go ahead with the
shutdown regardless of the activity, or abort the shutdown. If you go ahead with
the shutdown, the Voice Mail disconnects any Voice Mail calls in progress.
• You can shut down the Voice Mail only from a System Administrator Mailbox
that has been programmed with a Security Code. To assign a Security Code to a
mailbox, see the User's Guide.
