Mailbox Options
Mailbox options are those attributes that you can change (customize) for each mailbox in your sys-
tem. Your Voice Mail has a variety of mailboxes that are used which includes:
ACD Announcement, Announcement, Call Routing, Directory Dialing, Distribution, Fax, Future
Delivery, Guest, Interactive, Message Center, Network and Subscriber and Trunk.
Note: Fax and Networking are options that you can add to your system. They require additional
hardware and software. For information on the Fax and Network Mailboxes, see the supple-
ment documentation for these features.
Default Numbering Plan
When you select a phone system from the Install Menu, the Voice Mail automatically sets up a
numbering scheme according to that particular phone system’s extension numbering. The
Voice Mail also sets up certain types of mailboxes. The number of Subscriber Mailboxes that
are set up depends on the phone system that is selected. In addition, the number of trunk mail-
boxes (if any) that are selected depends on the type of phone system that is installed. Many
phone systems do not allow trunk mailboxes.
Regardless of the phone system that is installed, the Voice Mail automatically sets up the
remaining mailboxes as follows at default:
You can change the type of a particular mailbox or create new ones. The remaining portion of
this section tells you how.
