To program Directory Dialing by first name or last name (cont’d):
Setting up a DAT for DIRF or DIRL
1.
Click Customize on the menu bar, and select Dial Action Tables on the Customize menu.
2.
If you have assigned any DAT other than DAT 1 in Step 6 of the previous procedure, click the
Next button until that DAT appears on your screen.
3.
For any DAT key 0
–
8 that does not match the first digit of the extensions/mailboxes in your
Voice Mail:
a. Select your Directory Dialing scheme (DIRF/DIRL) on the Action scroll bar for the key.
b. Make sure that the Number for the key is set to None.
4.
Click the OK button to save your assignments.
Setting up a DAT for Call Transfers to the Mailboxes
1.
Click Customize on the menu bar, and select Dial Action Tables on the Customize menu.
2.
If you have assigned any DAT other than DAT 1 in Step 6 of the previous procedure, click the
Next button until that DAT appears on your screen.
3.
For the DAT key that matches the first digit of the extension/mailbox numbers in your Voice
Mail system:
Make sure that the Action is set to TRF or UTRF or GOTO.
4.
For the DAT key that matches the first digit of the extension/mailbox numbers in your Voice
Mail system:
Make sure that the Number for the key contains as many x’s as there are digits in each Voice
Mail extension/mailbox number. For example: You would enter XX for a Voice Mail system
with 2-digit mailbox numbers and XXX for a Voice Mail system with 3-digit mailbox num-
bers.
5.
Click the OK button to save your assignments.
Setting up a DAT for Call Transfers to Other
Mailboxes (Optional)
If the number of extensions/mailboxes in your Voice Mail system is greater than 100, you will need
to program transfers to the second set of mailboxes/extensions not covered by your programming in
the procedure above.
1.
Click Customize on the menu bar, and select Dial Action Tables on the Customize menu.
2.
If you have assigned any DAT other than DAT 1 in Step 6 of the previous procedure, click the
Next button until that DAT appears on your screen.
3.
For the DAT key that matches the first digit of the extension/mailbox numbers in your Voice
Mail system:
Make sure that the Action is set to TRF or UTRF or GOTO.
4.
For the DAT key that matches the first digit of the remaining extension/mailbox numbers in
your Voice Mail system:
Make sure that the Number for the key contains as many x’s as there are digits in each Voice
Mail extension/mailbox number. For example: You would enter XX for a Voice Mail system
with 2-digit mailbox numbers and XXX for a Voice Mail system with 3-digit numbers.
5.
Click the OK button to save your assignments.
