The Mailbox (cont’d)
Subscriber Mailbox
A Subscriber Mailbox is a mailbox that you assign to an extension, so that the extension user
can access the Voice Mail features. After transferring the call into the Subscriber Mailbox, the
Voice Mail plays, You have ___ messages. The caller can then listen to the messages or use
the other features.
To change a value in an existing AST schedule:
1.
Select the schedule containing the value you want to change.
2.
Click the box containing the value you want to change.
The box will be highlighted.
3.
Enter the new value in the box.
4.
Click the
button to have the Voice Mail apply your changed value immediately.
5.
Repeat these 4 steps for each value that you want to change.
To create (program) a new AST schedule:
1.
Select the number of the schedule (1
–
20).
2.
Click the Day(s) or Date box for that schedule, and enter the appropriate single day or range of
days or date.
3.
Click the Time box for that schedule, and enter the appropriate starting time.
4.
Click the Mailbox Number box for that schedule, and enter the number of the mailbox to
which the schedule points.
5.
Press Tab to reach the Day(s) or Date box for the next schedule.
6.
Repeat steps 2
–
4 until you have finished adding all schedules you need on the AST.
In case you have made a mistake and you want to start from scratch:
Click the
button to erase the whole table.
When you have finished adding schedules to an AST:
Click the
button to create another AST.
To return from a higher-numbered AST, like 5, to a lower-numbered
AST, like 2:
Click the
button to move backward in the list of ASTs.
When you have finished creating all your ASTs:
Click the
button to save your entries and return to the Voice Mail Main window.

To create and/or customize a Subscriber Mailbox:
1. Select Mailbox Options on the Customize menu.
2. Follow the Subscriber Mailbox instructions on page 263 of
Customizing Mailbox Options.
