Status Monitor
Speeds up Automated Attendant transfers. Since the NT Voice Mail knows the status of an exten-
sion without calling it, it does not take the time to call extensions that are busy, in Do Not Disturb,
or extensions that do not exist. The NT Voice Mail immediately tells the caller the extension status
and gives the caller other dialing options.
Status Monitor requires a dedicated port. The NT Voice Mail will not be able to use the “Status
Monitor” port for calls.

Enable Status Monitor.
Transfer Calls to a FAX Machine
Lets the Automated Attendant handle an incoming
FAX
transmission. When the Automated Atten-
dant detects
FAX
carrier tone instead of the expected Touch Tone digit, the Voice Mail transfers the
call to the company FAX machine, connected to an extension in phone system, so that the FAX
transmission can come through.
