Immediate All Ports Self Test
If your Voice Mail has just finished a maintenance procedure or you are concerned that one of your
Voice Mail ports is not functioning properly, you can perform an Immediate All Ports Self Test.
Performing this test will determine whether or not all your ports are alive (functioning properly).
To perform this test correctly, you must have the lines connected to the Voice Mail ports.
To perform the Immediate All Ports Self Test:
1.
Click Tools on the menu bar to display the Tools menu.
2.
From the Tools menu, select Immediate All Ports Self Test.
You will display a dialog box confirming that the self test is beginning on all ports.
3.
Click the
button on the dialog box.
The Voice Mail will immediately perform a functionality test of all your ports.
To see the results of this port self test:
Click the
icon on the menu bar.
You will see a Port Activity window similar to the one shown below.
When this window is first displayed, the word Testing appears in the Call State column for every
port being tested. After the test is performed, the Call State column will read On Hook for each
port that passed the test and Failed for each port that failed the test.
