Interactive Prompts
Play in an Interactive Mailbox in the order recorded by the System Administrator. Interactive
prompts consist of questions or requests for information from the caller. After playing each
prompt, the NT Voice Mail records a beep indicating that the caller should now record a
response to the prompt. After the response, the caller presses the pound key (
#)
in order to
reach the next prompt.
The NT Voice Mail allows 1600 interactive prompts system-wide. After recording a list of
prompts, the System Administrator can easily add, remove, or insert prompts into the list.
In Programming, see also:
Customizing Mailbox Options, Interactive Mailboxes on page 230.
Mailbox Name
Plays in voice prompts that would otherwise play the mailbox number or corresponding Sub-
scriber extension number. For example: Suppose the System Administrator records the name
“Joe Smith” for Subscriber Mailbox 303. Instead of hearing Extension 303 is busy, you would
hear Joe Smith is busy.
Programming

Message Length
Lets the System Administrator program the maximum length for recorded messages. The Mes-
sage Length can range from 1 to 999 seconds.
There are two types of message lengths:
Q
