Default Bilingual Mode
The Default Bilingual Mode value is the language mode that the Voice Mail uses for all the
system voice prompts that play to the following types of callers:
Q
an Automated Attendant caller on any port
Q
a caller who reaches the Voice Mail by dialing a Voice Mail extension number from an
extensio
Q
a caller sent to the Voice Mail by the phone system, as in a recall.
Tenant
The Tenant option includes both Intertenant Messaging check box and Number of Tenants.
Intertenant Messaging
The value for this check box determines whether Intertenant Messaging is
enabled or disabled. When it is enabled, tenants can:

press RS to record and send messages to each other. More specifically, this option deter-
mines whether a Tenant Y mailbox user can record and send a message to another Tenant
Y mailbox
Q
call each other throught the Automated Attendant. More specifically, this option deter-
mines whether a caller on a Tenant Y trunk can call a Tenant Y extension or mailbox.
Number of Tenants
The value for this option sets the maximum number of tenants allowed by the Voice Mail.

For any Voice Mail system that uses voice prompts in two language
modes.

Notes:
To let a caller press a key to switch languages:
Select Dial Action Table on the Customize menu.
The language assigned to an Automated Attendant caller’s trunk, if any, over-
rides the value of Default Bilingual Mode.
To assign a language to a trunk:
1. Select Mailbox Options on the Customize menu.
2. Assign the language to the trunk mailbox. (see also Trunk Mailbox on
page...... of Customizing Mailbox Options.)
To assign a language to a Subscriber Mailbox, a Guest Mailbox, or a
Message Center Mailbox:
Select Dial Mailbox Options on the Customize menu.
