Message Retention
This option determines how long the Voice Mail keeps (retains) a message in the Guest Mail-
box. Message retention applies to any message that the Voice Mail or mailbox user does not
erase. When the message retention time expires, the Voice Mail automatically erases the mes-
sage.
Urgent Message Return Time
The Voice Mail can notify a sender of an urgent message if the recipient of that message does
not listen to it within the time entered for this option (Urgent Msg. Return Time). The sender
receives the following mailbox notification: the prompt, The following urgent message has
been returned to you because the recipient has not listened to it, followed by a copy of the
urgent message.
Recording Conversation Beep
This option determines whether the Voice Mail plays, Recording, and a beep when a person
records a conversation at the mailbox's extension. The voice prompt and beep sound when the
person presses the
RECORD
key.
