Music On Hold
Provides music or an announcement to callers who are queuing (waiting) for a busy extension.
The System Administrator can make a new Music On Hold (

Recording Conversation Beep
Plays a beep and the voice prompt, Recording, when Voice Mail users record conversations at
their extensions.

Enable Recording Conversation Beep.
Voice Compression Rate
Compresses messages to favor either sound quality or storage capacity. Programming the NT
Voice Mail in favor of message storage capacity will increase the amount of message storage
time in the system by 25% (see Programming below).

Welcome Message
Greets Automated Attendant callers. The Welcome Message is commonly referred to as the
company greeting. The following is a typical Welcome Message: Thank you for calling the

Company. The System Administrator can record a Welcome Message for Call Routing,
Message Center, or Directory Dialing Mailboxes.
