Chapter 2: Features
Recording a Confidential Message
After using the RS (7 7) command to record and send a message, a Voice Mail user can press a
programmed dialpad key in order to tag the message as confidential. The Automated Attendant
can also be set up to let outside callers leave confidential messages for Subscriber, Message
Center, and Guest extensions.
Recipients of confidential messages will not be able to use the MF command nor the Auto For-
ward feature to forward the message to another mailbox.
In the User’s guide, see also:
Recording a Confidential Message.
In Programming, see also:

Recording a Future Delivery Message
Users can record messages and have the NT Voice Mail deliver them to other mailboxes at a
user-specified date and time in the future. The user may enter up to 10 mailbox numbers or
names for message recipients, along with a date and time when the message should be deliv-
ered. If necessary, the user can erase the Future Delivery Message, before it is sent by the Voice
Mail.
In Programming, see also:
Customizing Mailbox Options, Edit, Future Delivery Mailbox on page 206.

Recording an Urgent Message
After using the RS (7 7) command to record and send a message, a Voice Mail user can press a
programmed dialpad key in order to tag the message as urgent. The Automated Attendant can
also let outside callers leave urgent messages for a Subscriber, Message Center, and/or Guest
extension. Furthermore, mailbox users can receive Message Notification for only urgent mes-
sages, if desired. The urgent message will receive priority handling in the recipient’s mailbox.
After logging on to the mailbox, the recipient will hear this Voice Mail prompt: You have
(number of ) urgent messages. You have (total number of) messages. Then when the recipient
presses L to listen, the Voice Mail will say, This is an urgent message before playing the mes-
sage. The Voice Mail can also notify the sender about an urgent message, when the recipient
does not listen to it within a certain time period.
