General Properties Page
The following mailbox options are on the General Properties Page and can be programmed for Sub-
scriber Mailboxes.
Options
Programmable Options include Mailbox Type, Security Code, Name, Department, Extension,
Distribution List, Next Call Routing Mailbox, Tenant, Directory List, Number of Messages and
Bilingual Mode.
Mailbox Type
This option allows you to assign a mailbox type.
Security Code
This option allows you to assign a password to the Subscriber Mailbox. A user must dial this
password to gain access to the Subscriber Mailbox and all of its features. After calling into
(logging onto) the Subscriber Mailbox, a user can change the assigned this Security Code if
desired.
Availability: All versions of the NT Voice Mail.
Default:
Depends on the phone system that is installed.

Notes: When you change a mailbox type, the Voice Mail erases any messages
the mailbox previously had.
Availability: All versions of the NT Voice Mail.

Notes:
The first time you enter a Security Code, you see the digits on the
screen. If you return to it, you will not see the digits. The Voice Mail
hides each digit with an asterisk (*) for privacy. If the Subscriber for-
gets the Security Code, you can enter a new one on the screen and tell
the Subscriber what it is. Or, you can delete the Security Code, and let
the user assign it through the mailbox.
